Ali Baba Laundry baskets

This eye-catching basket adds a contemporary feel to any room. It makes the perfect laundry basket but is equally useful as a linen, pillow, toy or blanket basket.

This handwoven basket is made by artisan women from a village near Thies in Senegal. The basket is weaved from a local grass, njodax and long strips of plastic that are usually used for making bazin mats similar prayer mats.  The basket has a flat lid and integrated handles, which makes it easy to carry.  It has a wipe clean surface.
