We have worked hard with our skilled artisans to create the perfect Ali Baba laundry basket. Beautiful yet practical this contemporary laundry basket would be the feature of any room and fits effortlessly into any style of decor.

This handwoven laundry basket is made by artisan women from a village near Thiès in Senegal.  It is weaved from a local grass, ndiorokh, and long strips of plastic that are traditionally used for making bazin mats similar to prayer mats.  The laundry basket has an Ali Baba pointed lid and integrated handles, which makes it easy to carry.    

Its unique hand crafted nature means that no two baskets are exactly the same.  

Each basket arrives in in its own reusable cotton drawstring bag, handmade in Senegal.
